Where can I find information about recruiting/auditioning worship team members? There are times when we feel that we need to be selective in our worship team member list,
when we want to present only the very best that we can to the Lord. It can be difficult if
you're the one having to approve/reject people who are interested in joining the worship
team. Kim Anthony Gentes (the benefactor of this site) has compiled some information about
auditions. Read his comments about what the
situation can be like and how to handle worship
auditions; hopefully, you can find some of it useful. How do I train up other worship leaders? There is no "right way" to train up worship leaders; everyone has their own methods. One
commonly accepted method is the "mentoring" stream, as it partners an experienced worship
leader with a rookie. The concept is to have both playing together on the worship team
with the senior leader in charge. During some part of the worship service, the senior leader
will step back and allow the junior leader to lead a song. If problems arise, the senior leader
is right there to step back in and help out. Over time, as the junior leader becomes more
experienced and more comfortable, the senior leader can hand over more and more of the worship time
to the junior leader until the day when it is decided that the junior leader is now capable of
leading solo. (Note: this works well with other positions, including sound system operators) Where can I find careers in Worship? Below is a list of some places where you might be able to find worship leading

Where can I find sample job descriptions for worship team members? Kim Anthony Gentes (the benefactor of this site) has provided a list of job descriptions
from his church. Check them out and perhaps you will find some useful ideas for your
own church and situation.
Where can I find sample worship team guidelines? Many churches find it important to create and follow a set of guidelines for
all people who want to participate in their worship teams. This often helps
the individuals to understand what's expected of them and can often help church
staff in evaluating the heart of those who express interest in participating. Everyone
has their own idea of what the guidelines should be. Please use the following
sample guidelines as merely that, sample ideas; you may find some useful ideas
for your own church and situation. These sample guidelines have been shared by
members of the [Worship] email discussion group and, to the best of our knowledge,
have been approved for public sharing.
